QA Engineer

Netherlands, Noord-Holland, LarenDevelopment

Job description

Are you a fast-learning Automation pro? Do Selenium, Cucumber, Jenkins, Node, and Jira hold no secrets for you? Do you have recent experience creating test strategies, test plans, and test cases for large projects? Then you could be our new Medior Automation Engineer! In this role you have the ability to create and run test cases that cover a wide variety of scenarios such as functional, regression, endurance, integration, and performance. You are able to quickly pick up business logic to interpret requirements and prioritize defects. You enjoy working in a fast-growing entrepreneurial environment with a professional, fun and informal office culture. You are a great communicator, you thrive on using the agile methodology, and your experience backs that up.

What Will You Do

Being an Automation Engineer at Colect means working closely with your team members to build automated test suites to verify the quality, security, and scalability of our platform, features and new releases.

You will engage with the Product and Engineering team to deliver component, integration, and E2E tests to ensure all requirements, features, or stories have been fully tested and accepted by the stakeholders prior to deployment. You will participate in testing efforts for new releases and ongoing application maintenance for an Agile project team during 2-week iterations.

Defining and documenting test strategies, test plans, and test cases by evaluating functional and non-functional requirements of their user stories is an important part of your job. You will manage the status of defects and changes and provide updates to the team on a daily basis. You will participate in demos to the business unit for completed functionalities and create weekly metrics/reports to capture test progress for projects and releases.

Concurrently handling testing efforts for multiple projects and releases is essential. You will evaluate and implement test automation in the iteration cycle, identify and manage test cases for automation, and adapt to the needs of the group to coordinate testing efforts.
